Buying Real Estate in New Jersey

Friday, August 8th, 2008

Real estate in New Jersey is as plentiful as flowers in a botanical garden. The large selection of homes for sale does not reflect a mass evacuation of the state though. It merely illustrates that large numbers of people have made their homes in New Jersey. And, with two major cities and a beautiful coastline nearby, listings don’t tend to last long on the market. There is also a lot to see and do in and around New Jersey. That family can spend the day touring the history in New York City or Philadelphia or drive to the beach and walk along the boardwalk. The Appalachian Trail runs up the east side of the state, providing some of the best hiking opportunities in the North East, and naturally there are a lot of state parks and gardens to explore. Another good reason to settle in New Jersey is its scenic landscape. As crowded as it is, New Jersey has been nicknamed the “garden state.” Keeping to this reputation, development has been held at bay enough to ensure that about half the state remains a naturalist’s paradise. Consequently, sweeping pine forests, lush green mountains, and beautiful lakes contribute to New Jersey’s beautiful terrain and miles of coastline add a charm all their own.

Working with New Jersy real estate agents

Monday, February 25th, 2008

There are a lot of great homes for sale in New Jersey, and they are easy to find with the right agent. Maplewood, Montclair, Livingston, and South and West Orange real estate agents can help buyers and sellers form a solid relationship. The law in New Jersey requires that all real estate agents reveal how they plan on working with their clients during the business deal. There are four different types of relationships that a real estate agent can offer; they can act as a seller’s agent, buyer’s agent, disclosed dual agent or a transaction broker.

It is important to understand which type of New Jersey real estate agent you’re working with before disclosing any important information. If there is a transaction broker for a South Orange home for sale, they may or may not reveal that either party will pay or accept more or less than the asking price. This can be very important, because the real estate game can be a bit like a game of poker. You don’t want to reveal too much when all your chips are on the table. There are many homes for sale in the New Jersey area for anyone who is interested in getting involved in real estate here. It is the best investment that a single person or family can make, as long as they have the right professional help on their side.
